Basement Stairwell
So this is what the stairs to the basement originally looked like. 

Yep, I removed the door.. Still not sure why. I think I finally became fed up with it one day?

Filling in all of the holes.

Now they are definitely much more safe and quieter! 

There was exactly the right amount of carpet left over for this project. 

I will soon be working on the walls of the stair well. I plan to fill them in and patch them up like I did the room down there. This will help to give it more of a sheet rock look, rather than the awful paneling.
